About
Join us this summer in the Georgia mountains for the 100th Anniversary Potluck Picnic. This 100th year anniversary of the Georgia Botanical Society Annual Meeting will be a picnic at the park. The annual meeting event will consist of a business meeting including election of officers, followed by a potluck picnic with friends and family fellowship in the park. Horseshoe Bend Park is a beautiful quiet place along the Toccoa River. It is known for trout fishing, hiking, paddleboarding, canoeing/kayaking, or just botanizing along the Toccoa. Amenities include playground, volleyball net, dog park, grilling stations, picnic tables, and two pavilions for activities. It is an ADA compliant park with restrooms on site. One parking lot is available at the front as you enter the park. A second parking lot is further back. We will be located at the smaller pavilion further back within the park. This is a potluck-style picnic. More information will be available on the website and via email at a later date. The agenda for the business meeting will be posted when it is available.
